About

Team 1466 is stationed at the Webb School of Knoxville in Tennessee. Our team leader is Dave Pierce, or "Brotha Dave," who is a math teacher in the upper school. We are very fortunate to have many dedicated parent mentors who participate with the same, if not more, enthusiasm than the students. Every year, our robotics team is geared up and ready to go well before the season starts. We have a small group of dedicated members who work seven days a week for the entire building season, from rollout to the ship date. Formed around 5 years ago, we are a relatively young team. At the Palmetto Regional in 2005, our team placed first, and we won an Innovation Design award for the "Toy Arm," a mechanism that controls the "Bob Arm." This past season, our team made it to the semi-finals, our alliance placing third.

Above is an image of our award-winning "Toy Arm" with the "Bob Arm."

We are a very diverse group of people, including members of the Band, Recycling, Peace Jam, Russian Club, Legal Team, Chess Team, and Bowling Team. Our team is made up of both athletes and scholars.

We are looking forward to another exciting season and can't wait until the rollout!
